Mika's Drumming Magic brings excitement and life to birthday parties or any special occasion!
Mika provides instruments and excellent facilitation for groups of all ages. Events are paced in a way that is fun and accessible to people of all ages. Mika draws on skills that he has developed over 15 years facilitating drum groups for schools, workshops, private and corporate clients. Even participants who consider themselves non-musical are amazed with what they, and the group create together.
Instruments can be made available for groups of up to 200 people. Sessions can last anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours. A 45 minute session will work well for almost any event. Drum parties can occur indoors and outdoors and don't require special permits since the drums are not amplified. Drum Party activities include: Drumming with modified buckets with sticks, playing with conga, African djembe and frame drums, and playing shakers. Celebrate your child's birthday creatively with a unique art party in San Anselmo. Most typically, three to eight artists (depending on the medium employed, more may be accommodated) meet for three hours (the duration can be altered in respect for younger artists) to work in a medium of the birthday child's choice. Birthday parties at the Academy are held on Saturdays and Sundays, and availability is extremely limited. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. Parties include 2-hour use of a private decorated room, light refreshments, cupcakes, juice and milk, dedicated staff, crafts and activities, a tour (including behind-the-scenes), a special gift from the Academy for the birthday child, and more.
Classroom Safari is an educational outreach program that specializes in bringing the wild to your home for birthday parties. They have a large variety of animals in our educational programs including: Clouded Leopards, Servals, Genet, Ferrets, Hedgehogs, Sugar Gliders, Fennec Foxes, Spiders, Lizards and Reptiles of all kinds.
