Stapleton Ballet Nutcracker

The always-magical Stapleton Ballet Nutcracker, now in its 23rd year, is a wonderful way to begin the holiday season. Audiences of all ages will be dazzled by inspired dancing, stunning imagery, and beautifully crafted sets and costumes. Marvel at the timeless tale of Clara and her wondrous adventure with the Nutcracker, beginning with the lavish, authentic Victorian holiday party. Children will be on the edge of their seats as the Nutcracker transforms into a prince to battle the evil Mouse Queen in the heart-stopping battle scene. Vibrant new costumes and exciting choreography were created last year, including a firing cannon and a magical tree that grows to over forty feet tall! Young imaginations will soar as Clara and the Prince journey through the Land of the Sugar Plum Fairy, where highlights include a colorful Chinese Lion, a mysterious, magical Arabian merchant and the always-popular, energetic Russian variation. This joyful production flows seamlessly and is designed to engage all ages. Costumed characters will greet children in the lobby after 1 pm shows, offering a photo opportunity.
