The non-profit Rock for Good Foundation will present Downtown Days on the Green. a series of three free concerts in downtown Novato, kicking off this Saturday, August 27, with a performance by Philip Claypool and the Smokehouse Band. All concerts take place from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.
Claypool—country music star and owner of Novato's Southern Pacific Smokehouse restaurant—and his band will perform American country rock-and-roll. On September 3, local rock band Lucky Dog takes the stage, and on September 10, Marin favorite Revolver brings back the sounds of the '60s.
