Mathnasium Summer Power Math Workouts

Avoid summer brain drain at Mathnasium! Our summer programs give students an extra boost for the school year ahead. For some students, that means a good, solid review of previous material. Others benefit from previewing upcoming concepts. Most students will get some of both.

Each student completes a comprehensive assessment and works with our instructors on material based on their individual skill level. We recommend that students come in two or three times a week for one hour. This summer, Mathnasium is offering three programs (see below).

Novato Theater Company Summer Stars

The NTC Summer Stars program gives students the opportunity to participate in a musical theater production, shape the story, create their own roles, and even choose music. The students will use fairy tales, popular legends and myths as well as current cultural icons to create their very own stories from improvisations, allowing their imaginations to take wing, and giving the students a sense of ownership and accomplishment – all while having great fun acting, singing and dancing.

Mt Tam Bikes Camp

Founded in 2006 Mt. Tam Bikes Camp is a 5-day camp for novice to expert mountain bikers, ages 8-14. We offer 11 Sessions from June 10th to August 30th. Located in Mill Valley, California, where the sport was born, our custom-tailored sessions explore the world-renowned trails of Marin County. Experience the outdoors this summer on a mountain bike. Improve you're riding skills, learn bike maintenance, trail etiquette, local history and ecology. We do not just go for a ride we coach mountain biking, from fundamentals to advanced techniques. Come ride new trails each day in a fun, structured, non-competitive environment. Teaching each rider to become a safe, conscientious and self-reliant cyclist is our job. Having every rider find the same joy that we have found, in nature on a bike is our goal. Mountain Biking can be as challenging as it is fun. If you ask us who the best rider is, we will tell you, "the best rider is the one wearing the biggest smile."

Outside Adventure Kids

The Outside Adventure Kids Multi-Sport Day Camp is a Monday through Friday summer camp based in Marin County. It offers fun outdoor pursuits each day with an emphasis on developing friendships, understanding risks and learning. All activities are age appropriate and include: rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and much more! The maximum group size for camp is 13, with either two or three instructors depending on the activity and the group ages.

Ages: 7-12 (grouped by age)

Activities: Mountain Biking, Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Hiking, Kayaking, Rock Climbing

Location: Marin Country Day School (Corte Madera, CA)

Time: 8:45am drop-off and 2:30pm pick-up. Optional Extended Care is available from 8:00am – 5:30pm.

Morning Star Farm

MORNING STAR FARM SUMMER HORSE CAMPS:

Welcome Horse lovers! If you are between the ages of 5-15 years, our summer day camp is just what you are looking for. We offer English/Western horse camps for youth. Campers are grouped by ages and riding styles. Our enthusiastic Certified Instructors teach riding and horse care skills combined with many fun and exciting activities—some of which include Trail Riding, Vaulting (gymnastics on horseback) Bareback and Petting Zoo time. There will also be show at the end of each week so campers can show off their newly acquired equestrian skills.

Go Skate Skateboard Camp

"Check out this awesome skate camp at McInnis Park in San Rafael. This camp is especially for beginners who want to get comfortable on a skateboard and at the skate park. You will learn tricks like ollie, kickflips and how to ride the ramps. We also cover safety and practice new tricks every day! By the end of the clinic, you will be able to show all of your friends. It's 5 days of fun! Bring your skateboard, helmet, protective gear, water, and get ready for a ride. Helmet, elbow pads and knee pads are required."

Country Club Bowl Summer Youth Camp

Country Club Bowl is also offering summer youth camps for bowlers ages 7–18. Certified bowling coaches will introduce kids to bowling fundamentals with the aim of both improving skills and having a blast. Bowling, instruction, and a snack are provided, and campers will even have the chance to purchase their own bowling ball. The session takes place on July 23–27, Monday–Friday, noon–4 pm. The cost is only $90 per session for each bowler. Sign up online or at the bowling alley. Space if limited, so register early.

National Academy of Athletics Sports Camps

The National Academy of Athletics offers affordable, quality and active summer camps featuring baseball, soccer, volleyball, softball, basketball, all sport, flag football and more. These camps are offered in 6 North Bay cities, including Novato, San Rafael, Larkspur, and Mill Valley.
