The Stapleton School of Performing Arts, Ballet division, is offering four different summer programs, for dancers as young as 3 years and up to 18 years. The Stapleton Theatre Company summer musical theatre production will be Hairspray.
Pyramid Gymnastics is offering weekly morning and afternoon intensive summer camp sessions for boys and girls starting in June. The morning summer camps are 10 am-noon, Monday-Thursday and are for children six year of age and older. The afternoon summer camps are 45 minutes or 1-hour classes, Monday-Friday for ages Pre-K through 6th grade. The Pyramid summer camps introduce kids to real gymnastics where they'll receive instruction on the six Olympic events for men and the four Olympic events for women. Campers have an opportunity to develop their coordination , strength, flexibility and balance with in a safe and fun environment. Check back soon for more camp info.
At their wildly popular Zoo Camp, children spend a whole week at the Zoo learning about the animals, their habitats and how we care for them. Children ages 4 years old to entering 7 grade will be surrounded by more than 200 species of animals and will gain an appreciation of our natural world through fun and interactive play. Hours for Pre-K/Kindergarten are from 9 am-noon and 1-4 pm. The summer camp runs from June 3 through August 16, 2013.
Tutu Camp is open to children 4 to 8 years-old, and no prior ballet experience is necessary. Camp runs from June 18th through August 3rd, Monday through Friday, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Imagine spending your summer days exploring the enchanted and enriching world of ballet! On any given day at Tutu Camp, a child might take a ballet class, decorate costumes, learn the story of a famous ballet, or even take part in a production of their own creation.
Campers may register in one-week increments, however space is limited, so please reserve the week(s) of your choice early. A deposit of $75 (per week) is required to hold a child's place in Tutu Camp, with the balance of their camp tuition due by the registration deadline of May 31st. Marin Horse Kids operate a small, highly personalized, week-long introductory horsemanship curriculum for horse-crazy kids 5 through 9 years old. Each session will have no more than 9 campers, with a 1:3 staff ratio. The general schedule will be: mornings: horsemanship and handling, riding exercises, equestrian educational topics such as breeds, health and wellness, hoofcare, riding disciplines, horse care, tack, horse professions and more.The afternoons: lunch and horse journal, swimming, games, hiking, and art. There is a swimming pool onsite. Campers must be able to swim independently or have reliable, inflatable swimming equipment. Additional discount applies for existing Marin Horse Kids students. Kids on Camera TV/Film Acting Day Camp: Lights, camera, action, & fun! For ages 4-14. These are weeklong camps with different themes weekly. Summer is for fun and we have lots of fun in store just for preschoolers. First Friends Montessori is located in the Ross Valley in downtown Fairfax. We are offering 4 two-week camps. Each camp session will focus on a theme where we will read books, do projects (like cooking, art and science experiments), meet interesting visitors and make a presentation. The goal is to have fun, be creative and learn!
