Summer Rock Bands at Marin Music Center

Our camp is a great opportunity for kids to learn songs and play together under the supervision of professional musicians. Players are grouped by age and experience. Bands rehearse from 10 AM to 2 PM with a ½ hour lunch break. The bands learn to play about 4 songs of their choice coached by Stuart Lehman-Brown, a Berkelee School of Music graduate, and Mick Berry, the author of “ The Drummers Bible”.

On Friday, we record the songs and there is a performance for parents and friends in our classroom. Band members take home a CD of the songs they have learned. All amps,Mics and drums are provided.  The cost of the one week camp is $250 (paid in advance).

Steve & Kate's Camp

Instead of a rigid structure, we give our campers choice. Instead of teaching kids the typical way, we give them tools and gentle guidance to help them become autodidacts. The difference is subtle–and it’s profound.

Our structure is custom fit for every child. All activities are available every day and we give campers a large, well-balanced menu of activities to choose from. Campers choose what activities they want and how long they want to do them. Counselors supervise all activities and all areas so campers can move around freely.

There are a gazillion ways for kids to design a day at camp. Check out our website to see our studios, including music, culinary and animation, as well as our weekly specials, daily specials, show specials, pure play, stadium sports, hot day activities and all-camp activities to see some of the possibilities.

Liberate yourself from weekly sessions. With both our Day Pass and Membership plans you're free to attend any number of days, anytime from 7:30 am to 6 pm, at any location. And-drumroll please-unused passes are refunded automatically and memberships are down-convertible.

The Day Pass:
Buy 1 or more at once ? $80 per day
Buy 5 or more at once ? $76 per day
Buy 20 or more at once ? $64 per day

Girl's Empowerment Singing Camps

I offer customized "Girl's Empowerment Singing Camps" for groups of 4–12 (4–8 girls in your home or 5–12 girls at my Corte Madera Vocal Studio location.)

Each girl who attends must take at least a half-hour private voice lesson to determine her vocal range and current level of singing (I extend 1/2 off for this first lesson.) The singing camps give each girl a chance to "solo", do "back up vocals" and sing in an ensemble. This experience boosts self-esteem, teaches team work, camaraderie, working in cooperation versus competition, and is hard work... but..work the kids love and have a great time in the process of engaging in these "hands on" camps!
