Fabulous Nanny looking for new family to care for

So I'm posting on behalf of my beloved and amazing nanny, Tomasa, who will be needing a new situation starting in September.

Tomasa has been looking after our sixteen month old Anna since February, when we left her day care due to a disagreement with the provider (re: immunizations).

Tomasa is a wonderful person, great with kids and very very loving. Our Anna has done very well in her care. However, we are moving to Corte Madera, and we've decided it was a good time to get Anna back into the group experience of day care. There are several providers within walking distance of our new home, and we found space. So, now Tomasa will need to find a new loving home to care for.

The details:
Tomasa is from Guatemala, and her native language is Mam. She speaks Spanish and limited English. She is married and has two children, a boy of 5 yrs. and a girl of 20 months. Her daughter comes to our house per my request so Anna can have a peer / playmate four days a week. Clearly, Tomasa enjoys this, but does not require it. Tomasa had worked for two family day care providers in San Rafael. We met her at our daycare. She left that position roughly at the same time we left that daycare. The daycare owner gave me Tomasa's contact in case we would consider an at-home nanny for Anna, and it worked out well.

Because of her work in licensed day cares, Tomasa has had the customary background checks required by the licensing authority as well as the requisite CPR training. She does not have a driver's license, and does not drive a car.

Tomasa prepares Anna's meals and feeds her lunch and dinner. She also does light house cleaning during the baby's naps - including the baby's laundry!! They go out for walks and to the park daily, and also go to the San Anselmo library for music class twice a week. I trust her completely, and she does an amazing job looking after Anna - who simply adores her. She is very energetic and sweet, and can take care of more than one child. Her supply of patience appears limitless, and she is very kind and compassionate.

She arrives at 8am and stays until 6pm. If I'm stuck in traffic and get home late, (does happen sometimes) there are no complaints! She is also available earlier, if needed - just a question of negotiating fees.

She lives in the vicinity of the Civic Center, and is willing to work from Novato to Mill Valley and points in between... (San Anselmo, Corte Madera, Greenbrae, Larkspur, Kentfield... she is very eager to find another sweet child (or children) to look after.

If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please email me for more information, to have a chat and to get in touch with Tomasa.

Thank you!
