Everyone in my family is looking forward to this year's 104th Mountain Play: Disney's Beauty and the Beast! Performances of this production of the hit Broadway musical take place at 2 pm in Mt. Tam's Cushing Memorial Amphitheater on May 21 and 28, and June 4, 11, and 18. The cast includes Chelsea Holifield as Belle and Daniel Rubio as Beast. Come be a part of this century-old Marin County tradition!

Based on the Academy Award-winning Disney animated feature, the stage version of this beloved story includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman along with new songs by Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over 13 years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

This beloved tale comes to life through the charming story of Belle, a young woman from a small village, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love another and earn their love in return, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed to remain enchanted for all eternity.

General seating tickets cost $40 for adults, $35 for seniors over 65, $30 for youth 14 to 21, and $25 for kids 4 to 13. Children 3 and under are free and no ticket is required. Order general seating tickets here or by phone at (415) 383-1100. There will be fun pre-show entertainment and even a fun-filled play area for kids prior to each performance!
