Interested in learning more about Novato's proposed new progressive charter school? This Sunday, July 15, at 4 pm there will be the third in a series of public meetings to inform the community about the school, which will be Marin County’s first Core Knowledge curriculum pre-k through 8th grade public charter school.
The meeting will include an overview of the proposed charter school, a detailed look at the Core Knowledge language arts program, the grade-by-grade curriculum sequence, and an interactive Q&A. North Bay Educational Foundation (NBEF) will also present general charter admissions policies and guidelines, and attendees will have the opportunity to sign a consideration of intent to enroll. In addition, there will be opportunities for interested community members to get involved in bringing this educational opportunity to Novato.
NBEF is actively seeking community input and involvement. The school is planned to open next year, and, NBEF will submit its petition, including signatures with intent to register to Novato Unified School District as early as September, so interested parents and community members are encouraged to learn about this opportunity and get involved now.
Childcare and Spanish language translation will be available. This public meeting is open to any and all interested parents and members of the community. If possible, attendees are asked to email email@example.com with RSVP in the subject line, noting the number of children requiring childcare. For childcare, RSVPs are required due to space constraints and in order to provide adequate supervision; for general attendance, RSVPs are requested for planning purposes only and are not required.
This meeting takes place in the Oak Room at the Best Western Novato Oaks Hotel, which is located at 215 Alameda Del Prado in Novato (near Burger King and WildFox restaurant). For more information, visit www.northbayedu.org.
