There's so much for families to do in Marin and the Bay Area, and much of it can be done for free! Here's the inaugural edition of our monthly list of a dozen fantastic free family activities and events in Marin and beyond. Go do something fun (and free!) with the kiddos before the school year starts again later this month!
- Explore the galaxy at Novato's Space Station Museum.

Saturday, August 20, 5–7 pm - Take a wind-powered ride on SF Bay with the Cal Sailing Club in Berkeley.
Sunday, August 21, 1–4 pm - See Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the Redwood Grove in Mill Valley's Old Mill Park.
