Nanny available full-time starting January 2015

Our wonderful nanny will become available after the holidays when my daughter and my share partner’s son begin preschool.

Our nanny’s name is Mouang (pronounced Mwong), who is originally from Thailand. She is reliable, sweet, patient, active, fun, and responsible. She is a mother and grandmother, and
has been nannying for many years, including nannying for twins. She’s a career nanny, so you don’t have to worry about her leaving to go to grad school (or anything like that).

Meg: Mouang has been with us since my daughter was 4 months old, when we begin sharing her with Aimee’s family. I had a lot of trepidation about going back to work so soon, but Mouang was AMAZING with infants, which was a key selling point for me. Both kids bonded tightly with her and still maintain an amazing bond. Moaung embraces babywearing and is very physically capable.

Aimee (my share partner): Mouang has been the primary nanny for both of my children. She started with us when our oldest child (now 5) was nine months old. We have worked with her for five years and feel very grateful to have her helping to raise our kids. She has training from Bananas, including CPR (although it may need to be updated). She has her own car (and car seat) and is always on time.

In our current nanny share, she typically watched both of our children (beginning when they were four months old to now), and even occasionally their older siblings (so four toddlers/young kids at once, and we never worried about overwhelming her because they all loved her and listened to her.)

Full disclosure: Mouang doesn’t read English very well, so you won’t be able to text or email her (etc). On the plus side, this factor is why she’s a bit less compared to other experienced nannies and how we were able to afford her for more hours. She charges $15/hr for one child and $20/hr for 2. I feel that she’d be able to handle a third child as well, especially if the child is a bit older. She does light cleaning and is willing to help with laundry and other things around the house - she just needs to be directed.

She’s looking for lots of hours, so P/T won’t work. Ideally, she’s looking for a family who needs long hours. She does nights and weekends as well and generally always available.

Our two families would be glad to talk with you if you're interesting in hiring her. We both love her very much and want to make sure she can find another loving family (or families) this Winter.

You can email either one of us

and we can put you in contact with Mouang and her past families for references.
