Foreign Language Immersion Summer Camps

My son attended a foreign language camp when he was in high school and I just want to spread the word because it is THE best camp!!! (It is also for ages 7 and up.)

The name of the camp is "Concordia Language Villages." The camps are located in Minnesota. Kids come from all over the United States - even Alaska - to attend camp. Their website is www.ConcordiaLanguageVillages.org. The age brackets are one week programs for ages 7-11, 2 weeks for ages 8-17, and a one month high school credit program for grades 9-12.

They have camps for the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, Danish, English, Finish, French, German, Italian, Japanese Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and Swiss.

My son attended 3 summer one-month Russian camps. He entered Tulane University as an advanced Russian speaker and graduated with a Russian Language Major.

He loved the camp - said it was the best camp he ever attended - and I sent him to lots of camps - Boy Scout Camps. Space Camp (in Huntsville, Alabama)...
