We’re always on the lookout for special summer camps offering unique experiences for children who attend. Namaste Learning Center (NLC) offers a summer camp in Fairfax’s Peri Park that offers a wide variety of programs, including yoga, crafts, games, cooking, and nature and environmental education. We asked founders Arriel Adler and Holly Salamun a few questions about NLC’s summer camp sessions.
Can you tell us a little about yourselves?
We have both been educators in Marin County for over ten years. We share an authentic position on how quality education can impact and enhance a child's life.
What makes this different then other summer camps?
NLC is a hands-on experiential learning environment; our programs are structured by maintaining our goals of being environmentally conscious and are supportive to the NLC child learning strategies.
Please describe a day at your summer camp.
Every day is unique! As camp can range from theme days, drama skits, soil studies, songs, gardening projects and daily yoga practice... All of our activities are centered around inspiring a child's imagination.
What's your favorite thing to do at your camp?
Yoga, redwood ecology, and just having silly summer fun!
Week long sessions run from June 16 through August 8, and cost $400 per week per child. NLC offers discounts for siblings. To sign up or for more information, call Arriel at (415) 847-5030.
