Playdate Café Now Open in San Anselmo (has closed)

Playdate Cafe castleUnfortunately, Playdate Café has closed it’s doors due to the poor economy.

A new play space and café for kids and their parents has opened in downtown San Anselmo! Playdate Café is a kid-friendly café with a play area where kids can play in while their parents or caregivers get a well-deserved break. The 1,300-square-foot fenced play area is suitable for kids ages 0–6 years, and features a two-story ship, a medieval castle with kitchen and puppet theatre, and a climbing mountain with a slide. They also have a soft play area for infants and crawlers. There will be a variety of weekly classes and special events for the entire family.

playing at Playdate CafeThe café menu features healthy, kid-friendly choices including turkey roll-ups, grilled PB&Js, and quesadillas, as well as fare for adults, such as a ham and brie panini, and an apple chicken salad. They also carry a gourmet line of coffees and tea drinks, magazines, and free WiFi. Playdate Café is located at 101 San Anselmo Ave. in San Anselmo. They're open 7 days a week from 9 am to 5 pm. Adults and pre-crawlers are free, and an all-day pass is $8.95. Additional siblings are only $2. A monthly pass is $36, and semi-annual and annual passes are $175 and $245. All classes are free with a play pass unless otherwise indicated.

German Music Class with Jeanne: Learn traditional German folk songs, finger-play, and other children's tunes. Then get down to 99 Red Balloons. Join the kids for some high-energy, interactive fun!

Tuesdays are Grandparents’ Day
Who loves their nana? Every Tuesday, seniors receive 10% off their order. Be sure to ask for your discount at the register.

Wednesdays at 11:15 am
Sing-a-Long with Susan Z: Go Itsy Go! with Susan as she rocks out with everyone's favorite children's tunes. Sing along to traditional melodies and songs from Susan's original children's CD, “Songs for Little Hands.” This class is most suitable for infants and toddlers with their parents.

Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 pm (starting May 28)
Italian Class INSIEME A MAMMA: This group class is designed for Italian children and their parents. Have fun in Italian and make new friends learning the basics of the language.

Thursdays from 11-11:30 am
Mother Goose and Friends Story Time: Join Nicki every Thursday morning as we read delightful stories and sing silly songs and nursery rhymes. Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers (but all ages are welcome!).

Fridays at 11 am
Toddler Time with Jen: This class, designed for toddlers and their parents or caregivers by Jen Subin, includes songs and finger-play, simple sign language, one-to-one games, and parallel play. Adult participation required. (Babies welcome).
