- Breakfast with Enzo! presents a weekly family folk music sing-along for ages 0–5 with two different sets of music at 10 and 11 am at the Presidio Dance Theatre. Enzo will perform with his banjo, accordion, musical saw, guitar, and countless other instruments for a morning of singing and dancing. The cost is $5 a person. - A Venetian Affair will be a night of elegance and fun at the Marinwood Community Center. Come for a night of great music, dinner and a silent auction on Friday from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. - Petaluma's Salute to American Graffiti 2008 will be taking place this weekend, May 15-17. Come with the family and celebrate 35 years of George Lucas’ timeless, coming-of-age movie that was filmed in Petaluma in June and July, 1972. The celebration will feature several of the film's stars and more than 250 classic cars and trucks including four of the movie's featured cars(together for the first time since the filming). - The Pixie Park’s Spring Fair happens this Saturday, May 17 from 9 am-4 pm at the beautiful Marin Art and Garden Center in Ross. Come out and enjoy the petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, puppet show, and a sing and dance with Susan Z! - The Storyland Festival at San Geronimo Preschool features fairies, pirates, Alice, and the Mad Hatter, as well as music by Tim Cain. The Festival will be bustling with exciting activities that bring storybook characters to life and inspire a lasting love of reading. Especially for kids 1-8 and their families. - Bring the family to Greg Borrelli’s May Madness Classic Car Parade and Rockin’ Street Dance in Downtown San Rafael takes place Saturday, May 19 from noon-9:00 pm. - Doctor Noize will be at the Bay Area Discovery Museum on Saturday at 11 am. The award-winning musician & author Doctor Noize gives a super high-octane interactive show to encourage creativity. The mind behind last summer's hit "Banana" on XM Kids Radio, Doctor Noize leaves kids thinking that everybody has some creative genius and that they can play an instrument and, sing and dance and even write and record their own songs. - Also, at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, is the new exhibition Tales from the Land of Gullah , whichopens May 17 and runs through September 14. You may have heard the story of the “Tortoise and the Hare” or even sang “Kumbayah,” but do you know where these classics came from? Families can experience the unique cultural rhythms of the South Carolina and Georgia Sea Islands in the new special exhibition exploring the rich heritage of the Gullah people, blending their West African heritage with European-American and slave traditions. - Loma Verde Elementary School in Novato will have its third annual Kermes Festival on Saturday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event will have homemade Mexican food, entertainment, a carnival, games, prizes, and face painting. The festival will take place on the school field at 399 Alameda de la Loma in Ignacio. - Family Campfire at Crissy Field. Celebrate the beauty of the San Francisco Presidio’s urban national park with an outdoor campfire at the Crissy Field Amphitheater. Come for storytelling and merriment, watch the sunset, and make s'mores and sip hot cider by the fire. Meet at the Crissy Field Amphitheater (located near the Warming Hut). - Marin Waldorf School is having a yard/rummage sale to benefit the school this Sunday, May 18th from 10:00am-4:00 pm at the school. - Olompali State Historic Park is having it’s 23rd Annual Heritage Day on Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Bring the family and a picnic and enjoy some of the activities, which include, a Victorian garden walk, the Wildcare Terwilliger nature van, and the Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue. - The Young Performers Theatre presents Winnie The Pooh. Don't miss the last day of this classic tale on Sunday at 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm. If only this "bear of very little brain" could resist his passion for honey, he wouldn't get into nearly so much mischief. When Kanga starts bathing Piglet with soap, Pooh must come to the rescue, but he's a little too round to fit through the door! Here is YPT's all-time favorite show with Christopher Robin and Winnie, Piglet, Owl, Eeyore, Kanga and Rabbit in their mad-cap adventures. A delightful time for audiences ages 2 to 102.
