Holiday Music Fun with Tim Cain and Dream Circle (and a CD Giveaway!)

In our recent interview with Marin children's musician Tim Cain mentions his new CD release with his band Dream Circle: It's a Holiday. Tim was kind enough to provide us with a review copy of this new holiday CD, and it's one we've really been enjoying. It's a Holiday is a fun and cheerful seasonal celebration featuring songs for a wide range of winter holidays, including Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Chinese New Year. Dream Circle is indeed a dream lineup of local children's musicians, including Tim, Judy Nee (AKA Miss Kitty), Cindy Cohen, and Christopher Smith.

Playing this CD is kind of like having the band in your living room to sing, joke around, banter, and sing some more. Favorite songs in our house include the hilarious (to a five- and two-year old) take on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Feliz Navidad, and the catchy Draydl.

The CD will be available at Dream Circle's Lollypopalooza show on Saturday, November 22, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Tiburon (located at 240 Tiburon Boulevard, opposite the Cove shopping center). The program on the CD is the same as that performed at the annual Dream Circle holiday concert at Marin Center's Showcase Theater in San Rafael. This year's shows will be on Tuesday, December 16, at 9:30 and 11 am. Advance tickets are required: (415) 457-4878.
