Art Classes & Camps for Toddlers 2008

March 12, 2008

I have been looking for a local art class for my son Trevor for some time now. I wanted a summer class/camp that offered a few different types of art activities, such as drawing, ceramics, and painting. He really enjoys all types of art activities, so I thought it would be a good activity to expand his creative development. After a search, I finally found a few unique programs and summer camps.

Studio 4 Art on Wheels works the way it sounds: they come to you for to teach art to children and adults. This program is run by Kebby Neugebauer, who has been teaching children art for the last 9 years and has her BFA in painting from Sonoma State University. Kebby previously was the Education Coordinator for doodlebug in San Anselmo. Her approach in teaching is to develop the creativity and curiosity that children display naturally. Kebby’s personal art instruction includes, drawing, painting, clay/pottery and sculpture. The summer camps include 2 to 3 hour sessions for 2 to 5 times a week at $180 or $255 per day for up to 5 children. You choose morning or afternoon, project, and location. She also offers classes throughout the year on a weekly or biweekly basis for 45 minutes to 2 hours at $100 per hour for up to 5 children, as well as private lessons, afterschool enrichment programs, parent/child classes, and more. So gather your friends with toddlers or your playgroup and plan an art session or camp today. See a full list of summer classes. For more information, go to www.studio4art.net.
