terrible twos happening at 18 months???

Has anyone experienced the terrible twos with a 18 month old. My daughter seems to be going through that right now. Is it possible at this age?

that's what the books say
Everything I've read says the terrible twos start at 18 months. I think my daughter is just getting there herself. She says "I want dat" all the time, and if she doesn't get it, you'd think her world was ending.

me two!
My son just approached 19 months and it seems to be the end of the sweet baby stage. He has entered the terrible 'throw yourself on the ground if mommy says no' twos.

Great book
Someone recommended the book: Love, Logic and Magic for my daughter's whining and screeching. It's been great- working like a charm for this new 2's phase.

That's about when both my girls started--it peaks at about 2 1/4 (my second one is there right now), though of course every child is different. All I can say is hang on for the ride and keep telling yourself that this, two, shall pass ;)
