Marin Theatre Company presents two Summer Theatre Camp productions: Oliver! and Chateau La Roach. All shows will be performed at Tam High's Caldwell Theatre at 700 Miller Avenue in Mill Valley. All ages will enjoy the musical Oliver! (Aug 2–Aug 5) performed by the MTC Youth Camp, and the comedy (with a bit of music) Chateau La Roach (Aug 9–Aug 12) performed by MTC’s Teen Camp. Fantastic Fridays featuring Breakfast with Enzo! Bring the kids to Crissy Field Center's Fantastic Fridays program featuring local tot idol Enzo for a regular Toddlerpalooza. Enzo plays a variety of instruments and has been wowing the preschool set for years with his fun and interactive music show. There are two shows at 10:00 and 11:00 am. The cost is $10 per child, accompanied by a parent or caregiver (stay as long as you like!) More info: www.parksconservancy.org

Family Fun Nights at the Pool presents School of Rock-N-Roll on Friday from 7:00–9:00 pm at the Mill Valley Community Center. Come and celebrate under the sea and don’t forget your mask and snorkel to explore the pool. Only $5.00 per family. For more info, go to their website.

Music in the Park Series presents the Redwood Wind Quartet at Marinwood Park. Grab a blanket and some snacks; admission is free. Beer and wine are available. For more info, check out their website.

Day Out with Thomas will be at Roaring Camp Railroad in Felton in the Santa Cruz mountains on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Come and ride on Thomas the Tank Engine through the Big Trees. Meet Sir Topham Hatt and enjoy a day with lots of Thomas activities. For ages 2 and up. Sonoma's 22nd Annual Salute to the Arts showcases the food, wine, and art of Sonoma. The event raises money for Sonoma Valley non-profit arts and cultural organizations. Free. 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Friday–Sunday, August 3–5. For more info, go to www.salutetothearts.com.

Creekside Fridays

Saturday, August 4


Sebastopol Center for the Arts
presents a children's theater production of Pinocchio, directed by Tim Hayes on Saturday at 11:00 am and Sunday at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. Tickets are $6 for children and $8 for adults. The SCA is located at 6780 Depot Street, Sebastopol. For more info, call (707) 829-4797.

The Aloha Festival takes place at the Presidio in San Francisco on Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm! The Pacific Islanders of the San Francisco Bay Area offer their talents in music and dance during this two-day festival of arts. The event will also feature arts and crafts vendors, island cuisine, and educational exhibits and workshops. For more info, go to their website.

Children's Garden Series: Women of the World performs international music at Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco at noon and 1:30 pm. The event is free. For more info, go to www.ybgf.org.

Family birding walk and nature hike at the San Francisco Botanical Garden from 10:00 am to noon. Come and discover the birds and exciting microhabitats of the Garden. All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the main gate by the Garden Bookstore. They are located at Martin Luther King Drive near 9th Avenue and Lincoln Way. PartyKidz LLC, a family dance party with music, refreshments, face painting and more, takes place on Saturday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.  The location is at 330 Ritch Street (right by the Giants’ ballpark) in San Francisco.
