Great Kids Books for Halloween

To get into the spirit of Halloween, my kids and I recently checked out a bunch of spooky books from the library. My kids always look forward to going to the library on Wednesday for reading time and the chance to check out some new tales and fun stories of the coming season. I have to admit that I have also been having fun myself reading all the scary and not-so-scary tales of Halloween. My 4 year old and 20 month old have really enjoyed the following books:
Pumpkin Moon by Tim Preston
WHO GOES OUT ON HALLOWEEN? (Bank Street Level 3*) By Sue Alexander
Moonlight: The Halloween Cat by Cynthia Rylant
Mouse's First Halloween by Lauren Thompson
Arthur's Halloween: An Arthur Adventure (Arthur Adventure Series) by Marc Brown
Pooh's Pumpkin (Disney First Readers) by Isabel Gaines
Too Many Pumpkins by Linda White
My 20-month-old daughter really loves the Who Goes Out on Halloween? book. She continuously asks me to read it over and over again and points to all the pictures. After reading the book several times, she has decided that she wants to be a witch for Halloween. Books can be a good way to introduce or get your child ready for the Halloween season, and to get excited about picking pumpkins and choosing a costume.
