Bring the family to Tam's 100th Homecoming Sock Hop Dance on Friday from 7:00–10:00 pm at Tamalpais High School. There will be a sock hop in Gus Gym, and dance lessons if needed. There will be hot dogs, refreshments and popcorn. Kids 13 & under free, students 14 and up $5, adults $10. Tam High is located at 700 Miller Avenue in Mill Valley. Marinwood Morning School's Semi-Annual Children's Toy & Clothing Sale will be taking place on Saturday, September 29 from 10:00 am-4:00 pm at the Marinwood Community Center at 775 Miller Creek Road in San Rafael. For more info, call (415) 479-0775.
   

The 5th Annual Rock 'n Blues By The Lake takes place on Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm at Stafford Lake Park in Novato. This is a musical event for the entire family featuring Sammy Hagar and the Wabos, the Bacon Brothers and more. Adults: $45 advance, $60 at door; students (ages 5–18) and seniors (65+) $15 advance, $20 at door. Stafford Lake Park is off of Novato Boulevard in Novato. The Nicasio Valley Farms’ Pumpkin Patch will be open daily, September 29–October 31. There will be pumpkin picking, hayrides, hay mazes, jumpy houses, and farm animals during the week as well as a farm stand and chicken BBQ. Admission is free. Come out for Weekend Along Farm Trails and check out some of the wonderful farms in our backyard! This weekend, September 29 and 30, a variety of farms in Sonoma County will open their doors for a special weekend of fun activities and informative tours to start celebrating the fall harvest. Participating farms will be featuring pumpkin patches, special farm tours, farm animals, freshly picked fruits and vegetables, restaurants, wineries, and activities for the kids. Blackie's Hay Day takes place at Blackie’s Pasture in Tiburon on Sunday from 10:00 am-2:00 pm, and benefits the Children's Room at the Belvedere-Tiburon Library.
There will be lots of fun for the family that including jumpies, old fashioned games, pony rides, relay races, and a climbing wall. There will also be lots of great food and entertainment! General admission is $10 per person; children under 2 are free and an unlimited activity pass is $75; additional activity tickets are available at the entrance. Your donation is fully tax deductible. Once again, the Marin Symphony Family Concert will be taking place on Sunday, September 30 at 3:00 pm in the Marin Veterans’ Memorial Auditorium at Marin Center in San Rafael. The theme of this family-friendly concert is “Heroes and Villains”. The Marin Symphony’s Family Concerts are special one-hour programs designed to introduce children to the wonders of symphonic music. Narrated by KDFC radio’s Hoyt Smith, the concert features John Williams’ “Superman March”, Beethoven’s Wellington’s Victory, “The Queen of the Night Aria” from Mozart’s Magic Flute, and other pieces by Grieg, Holst, Stravinsky, Rossini and Handel.
