Unfortunately, Playdate Café has closed it’s doors due to the poor economy.
A new play space and café for kids and their parents has opened in downtown San Anselmo! Playdate Café is a kid-friendly café with a play area where kids can play in while their parents or caregivers get a well-deserved break. The 1,300-square-foot fenced play area is suitable for kids ages 0–6 years, and features a two-story ship, a medieval castle with kitchen and puppet theatre, and a climbing mountain with a slide. They also have a soft play area for infants and crawlers. There will be a variety of weekly classes and special events for the entire family.
The café menu features healthy, kid-friendly choices including turkey roll-ups, grilled PB&Js, and quesadillas, as well as fare for adults, such as a ham and brie panini, and an apple chicken salad. They also carry a gourmet line of coffees and tea drinks, magazines, and free WiFi. Playdate Café is located at 101 San Anselmo Ave. in San Anselmo. They're open 7 days a week from 9 am to 5 pm. Call them at (415) 459-PLAY (7529) or visit www.playdate-cafe.com.
Adults and pre-crawlers are free, and an all-day pass is $8.95. Additional siblings are only $2. A monthly pass is $36, and semi-annual and annual passes are $175 and $245. All classes are free with a play pass unless otherwise indicated.
