Mill Valley's new little gem, The Joy of Dance Ballet School recently started a popular "Dance and Arts Immersion Half Day Program" for pre-school aged children on Mondays and Thursdays. This fanciful program offers a half day for your little one full of fun centered around "the ballet du jour" drawn from popular ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Fire Bird that are explored though arts and crafts, story books, segments from videos of the ballet and of course, a magical dance class. Parents applaud directress and teacher Jacqueline Low for her imagination, boundless creativity and exuberant energy. This program became so popular during the Spring semester last year, that Joy of Dance Ballet School is now offering this program twice a week just after nap time on Mondays and Thursday from 1-4:45pm creating nearly four hours of fun for little dancers and gives Moms and Dads a respite from their day. Boys and girls three to six years are welcome, there's a $50 fee per half day program, the program must be signed up for in a series. If you are looking for an alternative to preschool or after- kindergarden care on those short days, and a transporting whimsical afternoon for the little dancer in your life, this is the program for you.
