We don't really watch the PBS show
Postcards from Buster too much in my house, but I recently saw something on it that was deeply disturbing. No, I'm not talking about the infamous lesbian couple and their kid episode (
Sugartime, which, oddly enough, isn't even in the episode list on PBS's website), which around here is about as controversial as going to the hardware store or something. And at least there are two parents, right? But I digress. So anyhow, I saw something that I found deeply disturbing and profoundly creepy: Buster's dad, Bo Baxter. Or more specifically, his physiognomy. And the ears. Look at the ears!

See, ostensibly, Buster and his family are
large rabbits, and human-sized anthropomorphized humanoid rabbits, to boot. While Buster appears to have a more-or-less rabbit-like appearance, his dad looks like a white person (no, not a pinkish beige white person like me; I mean
white) with rabbit ears. Except that he's got human-like hair (presumably on top of his fur? Huh?) that suggests the presence of ears, but no ears are present, since he already has two rabbit ears on top of his head, and he'd look even sillier with four ears, right? Just take a look at the picture at right. See, his hairline even follows where an ear would be, if he was human. And what's keeping his glasses on his face? Tape? I just don't understand! It makes no sense to me!
Perhaps my wife is right and I'm just taking this whole thing a wee bit too seriously.
Maybe rather than being a humanoid rabbit, he's a rabbitoid human?
