A new play space and café for kids and their parents has opened in downtown San Anselmo! Playdate Café is a kid-friendly café with a play area where kids can play in while their parents or caregivers get a well-deserved break. The 1,300-square-foot fenced play area is suitable for kids ages 0–6 years, and features a two-story ship, a medieval castle with kitchen and puppet theatre, and a climbing mountain with a slide. They also have a soft play area for infants and crawlers. There will be a variety of weekly classes and special events for the entire family.

Web Pick of the Week: Marin Playgrounds
February 20, 2007

I’m always looking for a new playground for my kids to try out. A few of our favorites are Pioneer Park and Hamilton Airport Park in Novato and the tot lot located off Blackie’s Pasture walking trail in Tiburon. This week’s Marin Mommies web pick is Marin Playgrounds, at www.justplaygrounds.com. This is a great site that lists all Marin’s playgrounds by city and gives a full descriptions of each park including amenities, parking, bathrooms, drinking fountains, and more. Happy or sad face icons are used as a quick visual clue to each park’s rating. This site is a wonderful resource for all of us Marin Mommies, so check it out!
