Are you looking for a fun music class for your child? One popular music class is Music Together of Marin, a family music education program for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families and caregivers. Beth Crespan, a former preschool teacher, started her business 10 years ago, and offers ongoing classes in Ross, Mill Valley, Corte Madera, and San Anselmo. One of Beth’s goals is for students to bring the music home that they learned in class and share it with their families.

Music Classes for Kids in Marin

Now that the holidays are over, it’s once again time to sign up the kids for winter classes. One thing my kids really enjoy are music programs. They love to sing and dance to the music and play the different instruments offered. We’ve tried a few different classes around Marin and the North Bay, and really like the Kindermusik programs offered here in Novato by Music with Melissa. Regardless of which program you choose, there is a music class for every child from newborn to grade school.

North Bay Music Classes

playing the violin at the music hatcheryMusic has always been a passion of mine, so when my son was born, I was excited to start him in one of the local music classes for babies. Ok, the truth is I want him to be the next Mozart… so I figured I should probably get started early if that was my goal. We started his first music class at CradleRock in Tiburon when he was about 6 months old and he loved it. Cradle Rock included lots of singing and hands-on time with instruments. I loved the idea that each child had their own instrument, because it really got the children involved in the music. We tried one class where the children had to share each instrument and pass it around. My son lost interest in that class and we didn’t enjoy it as much, probably because of the “Mine! Mine!” factor.
