- Breakfast with Enzo! presents a weekly family folk music sing-along for ages 0–5 with two different sets of music at 10 and 11 am at the Presidio Dance Theatre. Enzo will perform with his banjo, accordion, musical saw, guitar, and countless other instruments for a morning of singing and dancing. The cost is $5 a person. The Presidio Dance Theatre is at 1158 Gorgas at Marshall, Presidio of San Francisco. For more info, go to www.enzogarcia.com.

Family Activities for Mother's Day Weekend, May 10 and 11

- Family Film Event at the Lark Theater will be showing Ice Age on Friday from 3:30 pm to 5 pm. This PG movie is set during the Ice Age, where a sloth, a saber tooth tiger, and a wooly mammoth come across a lost human infant and work very hard to return him to his tribe. Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for kids. There will be special child “Snak Pak” included: small popcorn, fruit treat, and a water. The Lark Theater is located at 549 Magnolia Avenue in Larkspur. Advance tickets recommended because seating is limited.

Unique Mother’s Day Brunch, Lunch and Picnic Ideas

Brunch is a popular option for celebrating Mother’s Day. Here are a few unique options that are family friendly:
- Peacock Gap County Club in San Rafael will being having their 37th Annual Mother's Day Champagne Brunch Buffet on Sunday from 10 am to 2:30 pm. We go there for Easter brunch and it's very child friendly. They will be having omelets, a waffle station, a chef's carving station, and a large dessert and pastry selection. Adults are $29.95, seniors $27.95 and children (under 12) are $18.95. Early reservations suggested at (415) 453-3111. Peacock Gap Golf and Spa is located at 333 Biscayne Drive.

- San Anselmo's Stapleton Ballet presents a family-friendly show featuring two one-act story ballets based on children's favorites: Alice in Wonderland and Peter and the Wolf. Performances are at the Playhouse, at 27 Kensington Road in San Anselmo, on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 2, 3, and 4, 2008. Shows start at 7 pm on Friday and Saturday, with 1 pm matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $18 general, $12 for students 18 and under and seniors 65 and older. The 38th Annual Sausalito Spring Faire

The 38th annual Sausalito Spring Faire, an art and music festival, will be held this Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4, along the water in beautiful downtown Sausalito. This free event will feature over 80 artists, live entertainment, fine food, beverages, and a children’s area. The children’s entertainment line-up includes musicians and local favorites Tim Cain, Miss Kitty, the Crunchy Frog Band, and Daffy Dave. Activities for children include a fishing booth, arts and crafts, jumpies, and an obstacle course. All proceeds benefit the Sausalito Nursery School. Celebrate Earth Day 2008

Earth Day is this Tuesday, April 22nd, and this being the Bay Area there are numerous events from now through Tuesday. I think it’s important to talk to your kids about Earth Day and the reason why we celebrate it. There are many cool Earth Day activities for this coming weekend. I tried to list the ones that were more family oriented events. Many of the events listed below will educate families about earth-friendly practices that you and your family can do at home.
