October is almost here and that means Halloween is a only few weeks away. There's nothing much better than watching a spooky (but not too scary) movie with the family on a cool fall evening and sharing a big bowl of freshly popped popcorn. I polled everyone in our family to find out what their favorite Halloween movies were, and we came up with this list of 10 that we think are must-sees every October.

Novato's Hot Amphitheater Nights free concert series kicks off tonight, Saturday, July 29, from 5 to 7 pm at Hamilton Amphitheater Park! Tonight's performer is San Francisco's Royal Jelly Jive, a retro-modern band that blends jazzy cabaret sounds with funk, rock, and soul.
