Birthday of the Trees Celebration for Families with Young Children

This event is expired.

Epworth Church
1953 Hopkins Street
Berkeley, CA 94707

Join other families with young children to celebrate trees and all they give the world! We don't know when each tree is "born," so Tu B'Shevat is Jewish tradition's "birthday for trees." And we know birthdays are exciting...

Enjoy songs, movement, and a holiday story with Rabbi Bridget and beloved musician Joel Siegel, plus a hands-on holiday project, Tu B'Shevat treats, and more.

This event is especially for children 1-5 and their grownups. Older and younger siblings are also invited.

WHO: All are welcome, including interfaith, intercultural, LGBTQ, and adoptive families; people of color, single parents, and grandparents. No Jewish knowledge or experience is necessary. Feel free to invite friends who might be interested!

HOW: Fee is $12/adult, $5/child, and children under one year are free. Epworth Church Social Hall is accessible to the disabled, and street parking is easily available.

QUESTIONS: Contact Rabbi Bridget Wynne at rabbibridget@jewishgateways.org or 510-410-0622.

Presented in collaboration with Sprout East Bay and PJ Library East Bay.

$12/adult, $5/child, and children under one year are free.
