Come join the Carquinez Model Railroad Society in Crockett Saturday and Sunday December 11-12 from 10 AM to 4 PM for our Winter Open House! We're located at 645 Loring Avenue in Crockett in the historic Odd Fellows building across from C&H Sugar.
We've been busy working on the railroad and you're sure to be captivated by the trains, the detailed scenes, and our friendly members! See the changes we've made in Sacramento, Colfax, as well as the branchline. Enjoy the scale Amusement Park! Feel free to try out our scavenger hunt!
Our unique 36' x 60' HO scale model railroad (on three levels!) depicts the Southern Pacific/Union Pacific railroad from Oakland, across the Sierra Nevada mountains, to Sparks, NV. Our model railroad allows you to closely follow a train as it traverses the railroad. And our members are always happy to answer your questions! Admission is $5, with those under 16 free when accompanied by an adult. Visit us on-line at www.cmrstrainclub.org.
The Crockett Toy Train Operating Museum, in the same building, will also be open both days as well. Admission is $5, with those under 16 free when accompanied by an adult.
The Bay Area NTrak club, an N scale club located down the street in the former Southern Pacific station, will also be open on Saturday. Admission is free but a donation is requested.
