Wildflowers to Waterfalls
This event is expired.
Cascade Canyon Preserve. Meet at Doc Edgar Park on Cascade Dr in Fairfax.
Questions: Contact Supervising Ranger Craig Solin at (415) 473-2816 or CSolin@marincounty.org.
Join rangers in Cascade Canyon for a stroll along the creek to the waterfall. We’ll look for spring wildflowers as we make our way through the various habitats of this beautiful preserve. Parking is limited along Cascade Drive so rangers will provide a shuttle from Doc Edgar Park in Fairfax to the Cascade Drive Gate.
This event is ideal for all ages. When the creek is full, we have to use a trail that is cut into a stone bank above the water; this narrow section can be slippery and challenging.
Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Don’t forget to bring water and snacks. Friendly dogs are welcome, but must be leased. Rain will cancel.
DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west to Fairfax 5.3 miles. Turn left onto Pacheco Ave, turn right onto Broadway and make first left onto Bolinas Rd 0.4 miles, slight right onto Cascade, the park is on your right.
