Civic Center Plaza Tree Lighting

Marin Mommies presents a sponsored shout-out from the Civic Center Plaza Holiday Tree Lighting, which takes place on Wednesday, December 4.

The free, family-friendly Civic Center Plaza Holiday Tree Lighting returns on Wednesday, December 4, 4 to 7 pm! The night of festive entertainment includes performances by the Topman All Stars, Dickens Fair Carolers, the acapella group Dodecaphonics, and the Tap Dancing Christmas Trees. Talented youth performers include America Scores poets; Moon School singers, and the string quartet Stars Aligned. The night of entertainment is lead by Boxcar Theatre’s Artistic Director Nick A. Olivero, and will also feature “snow” flurries and appearances by Christmas VIPs the Grinch and Santa!

Taking place next to San Francisco City Hall in Civic Center Plaza, adjacent to Civic Center’s Winter Park Ice Rink, the event will begin at 4 pm with the lighting of Civic Center Plaza’s 50-foot noble fir by Mayor London Breed at 5:30 p.m.

Don’t miss the holiday-themed DIY activities with SF Etsy in the Maker Village sponsored by Redwood Credit Union; and Another Planet Entertainment and SFPD’s Northern Station’s toy giveaway for the first 400 children 12-and-under. Festive bites are available for purchase from Off the Grid food trucks, along with a full bar offering seasonal favorites like Irish coffee and mulled wine. And stop by Bi-Rite Civic Center Cafe for cookies and hot chocolate!
