Experience STEM at the Virtual North Bay Science Discovery Day

Join local universities, museums, research labs, and organizations for this spring's free virtual North Bay Science Discovery Day, taking place on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 9 am to 6 pm. This event usually takes place in the fall at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa, but due to COVID-19, it's gone virtual this year, with sessions being held over Zoom.

Discovery Day is a free event for children, teens, and families.that will spark curiosity and excitement about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Take part in STEM storytimes and presentations with scientists, get hands-on with STEM activities at home, meet scientists and learn about their work, learn about local nature and wildlife, see live demonstrations and experiments, and more!

Participating local organizations include the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, Kaiser Permanente, UC Davis, the Charles M. Schulz Museum, Children's Museum of Sonoma County, Sonoma State University, Keysight Technologies, the Petaluma Wildlife Museum, USGS, NorCal Bats, and more. Advance registration is required — register online by noon PST on Friday, March 12. Registration and events are free and take place between 9 am and 6 pm on March 13. Learn more and sign up at northbayscience.org.
