    The Alameda County Fair in Pleasanton offers an amazing lineup of concerts featuring headliners like Tower of Power, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Eric Burdon and the Animals, Great White, Smash Mouth, Leann Rimes, and more. There will also be a carnival midway with rides and games, a 4th-of-July Fireworks Spectacular, farm animals, a rodeo, monster trucks, motocross, a demolition derby, and countless entertainers.   • Learn How to Pier Fish on Father’s Day Weekend
    Paradise Beach Park, Tiburon

    Join rangers and a few experienced local anglers on Father's Day weekend to learn the secrets and tricks of the trade when fishing from a pier. A limited amount of poles will be available on a first come, first-served basis. A valid California fishing license is required when fishing from the shore, not from the pier.   • Nature Connection: Pond Exploration Day

    Come explore the 1,000-acre Martin Griffin Preserve and discover the wonders of nature at three ponds using microscopes, nets, buckets, tubs, and field guides.   • Father's Day BikeAbout 2017
    San Francisco Zoo
    Sunday, 8:30–11 am

    The dad in your life will love this special Father's Day outing! Spend your Sunday morning on a leisurely hour-and-a half-long, docent-led cycling tour through the Zoo, and finish up with relaxing continental breakfast.   • Lake Fishing for Kids
    Stafford Lake Park, Novato
    Sunday, 9–11 am

    Rangers will cast out with the kids at Stafford Lake Park to try to reel in the biggest fish in the lake. This event is ideal for all ages. All skill levels are welcome and no experience is necessary. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Don’t forget to bring a fishing pole. Bait and a limited amount of fishing poles provided.   • Father's Day Pancake Breakfast at West Point Inn

    Call of the Sea offers a Family Adventure Sail on the schooner Seaward from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Take in famous San Francisco sights from the water.     Making sand globes feels like magic. Someone said, "It's like making a sand castle in the air." Creating sand art and playing with sand globes brings happiness, and connects us with the earth and each other. At this event, environmental artist Zach Pine will teach everyone to make sand globes (and encourage them to teach others!) Then, we'll make a spontaneously evolving art installation on the beach. Non-globe creativity involving sand and people is also encouraged of course! We'll also play cooperative sand globe games like "pass the peas" and "large sand globe collider," and invent new ones.
