Free Family Days at MarinMOCA
Marin Mommies presents a sponsored shout-out from the Marin Museum of Contempary Art (MOCA).
The Marin Museum of Contemporary Art is launching a free program which provides art-making opportunities to parents with their children. A fun and educational alternative to “screen time,” the program is taught by professional art instructors in a variety of media—from painting to mixed media to clay. Starting Sunday, October 6, from 11 am–3 pm at 500 Palm Drive, Novato, 94949. Admission is free when you bring a child 2–12 years old.
Families who visit on the first Sunday of the month will be met by Family Greeters who will provide an “Art Investigator” Guide which ensures a fun and engaging tour through the galleries. The Greeters will direct families to the art workshop space and help them get started. Art projects can be customized for children 2+ so that each participant can take home a completed artwork. Families can also visit artists working in more than 55 studios on the MarinMOCA campus.
Find more information online including directions, parking information, picnicking, and purchasing snacks or lunch.
