Marin Weekend Family Fun for April 14–16

All Weekend
- Celebrate Japanese American culture at the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco's Japantown, Saturday & Sunday, 11 am–5 pm. The Grand Parade starts Sunday at 1 pm and goes from Post and Buchanan Streets to the San Francisco Civic Center.
- Take a wildflower hike with the kiddos in Marin and marvel at the bounty of colorful spring blooms!
Friday, April 14
- Enjoy family activities, prizes, and more at the first-ever Alcatraz City Cruises Community Day by the Bay at Pier 33, Friday, 10 am–2:30 pm.
- Sing and stomp with with musician Emily Bonn at the Town Plaza in San Anselmo, Friday, 10:30 am–11 am.
Saturday, April 15
- Help remove invasive plants from Angel Island State Park for Earth Day. All ages welcome but minors must be accompanied by an adult. Includes ferry ride to and from the event, coffee, and lunch. Saturday, 9:30 am–3:20 pm.
- Sing along at an interactive concert with multi-instrumentalist and master musician Enzo Garcia in Mill Valley, Saturday, 10–11 am.
- Visit UC Berkeley for the annual Eggster Egghunt & Learning Festival in Campanile Plaza, Saturday, 10 am–5 pm.
- Get your summer garden going at Cornerstone Sonoma's Plantmania, Saturday, 10:30 am–1:30 pm.
- Learn about earthquakes on a ranger-guided walk at Point Reyes National Seashore, Saturday, 11 am.
- Experience Native American dance at the Intertribal Dance Gathering at Presidio Tunnel Tops in San Francisco, Saturday, 11 am–4 pm.
- Design your own flower pot and flowers at Goodie’s Kids Club April Workshop, free for 12 and under (registration required), Saturday, 12:30–2 pm.
- Get a sneak preview of the 2023 season and enjoy fun activities at the Cal Football Spring Showcase in Berkeley, Saturday, 2 pm.
- Celebrate spring with a campfire program at historic Sonoma Barracks, Saturday, 7 pm.
Sunday, April 16
- Shop for fresh produce and handcrafted local foods at the Marin Civic Center Farmers Market, Sunday, 8 am–1 pm.
- Explore the world of tidepools at Doran Beach in Bodega Bay, Sunday, 11 am–noon.
- Explore the life and work of Mozart at Santa Rosa Symphony's Family Concert, Weill Hall, Sonoma State University, Sunday, 3 pm.
- Learn about gardening and sustainability at This is Our Garden at Point Reyes Playground, Sunday, 3–6 pm.
