All Weekend
- Pack up the family for the free Blossoms, Bees & Barnyard Babies spring farm tour in Sonoma County, Saturday & Sunday starting at 8 am.
- The Bay Area Book Festival returns to downtown Berkeley with a full weekends of literary events for both youth and adults, Saturday & Sunday, 9 am–6 pm.
- Take a wildflower hike with the kiddos in Marin and marvel at the bounty of colorful spring blooms!
- Explore the Marin Headlands and the Point Bonita Lighthouse (open Friday–Mondays, 12:30–3:30 pm).
Friday, May 5
- Sing and stomp with with musician Emily Bonn at the Town Plaza in San Anselmo, Friday, 10:30 am–11 am.
- Take a wildflower hike with the kiddos in Marin and marvel at the bounty of colorful spring blooms!
Saturday, May 6
- Come to Novato's Scottsdale Pond for Fishing in the City. Bait, tackle, and rods provided. Saturday, 8 am–noon. Register for a time slot here.
- The annual Skate Fest for youth and young adults of all ages returns to Memorial Skate Park in San Anselmo, Saturday, 10 am–1 pm.
- Explore China Camp State Park in San Rafael and become a Junior Ranger, Saturday, 10 am–noon.
- Make a splash at the grand opening of Mechanical Waterways 2.0 at the Children's Museum of Sonoma County in Santa Rosa, Saturday, 10 am–2 pm.
- Bring the family to Slide Ranch for Spring Fling featuring animal encounters, nature exploration, farm discovery, guided hikes, and more! Saturday, 10 am–4 pm.
- Bring the family to the Manor Spring Faire in Fairfax to enjoy music, food, games and fun for the whole family. Saturday, 10 am–4 pm.
- Celebrate Día de los Niños with musical storytellers Cascada de Flores at the San Anselmo Public Library, Saturday, 11 am–1 pm.
- Come check out 200+ incredible classic and custom cars at the May Madness Classic Car Show and Parade in downtown San Rafael, Saturday, noon– 6 pm (parade at 5 pm).
- Come join the fun and design a gift for Mom at Goodie’s Kids Club May Workshop (flower press & string art). Free to attend for children 12 years and under. Goodman Building Supply, Mill Valley, 12:30– 2 pm.
- Marin Symphony performs music from Wonder Woman, Superman, Spider Man, and all your favorite superhero movies, Saturday, May 6, 7 pm. Purchase tickets here.
Sunday, May 7
- Shop for fresh produce and handcrafted local foods at the Marin Civic Center Farmers Market, Sunday, 8 am–1 pm.
- Get up close and personal with a wide variety of trucks at the Touch Trucks family event in Larkspur, Sunday, 9:30 am–12:30 pm.
- Take a family walk with Marin Parks rangers at Stafford Lake Park in Novato, Sunday, 10 am–1 pm.
- Get hands on with art at Marin MOCA's monthly Free Family Day, Sunday, 11 am–3 pm.
