Meet Author Raina Telgemeier at the Palace of Fine Arts!

Raina Telgemeier Guts book cover

One of my daughter's favorite authors is Raina Telgemeier, so we were thrilled to learn about her upcoming appearance at the Palace of Fine Arts Theater on September 21! A local author and illustrator (and San Francisco native), Raina Telgemeier is the creator of number-one New York Times bestselling, multiple Eisner Award-winning graphic novels for young people, including Smile, Sisters, and Ghosts. She's also the adapter and illustrator of four Baby-sitters Club graphic novels.

Book Passage will be presenting an afternoon with Raina Telgemeier at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre on Saturday, September 21 at 2 pm. This special event is ticketed and each ticket includes a copy of her new graphic memoir, Guts, as well as a special signed book plate. Attendees will also have the chance to meet Raina in person and have their photo taken with her! Though Raina won't be signing any books or memorabilia, autographed copies of her other books will be available for sale before and after the event.

Tickets to the event range in price from $22 to $45. The Palace of Fine Arts Theater is a fantastic venue and there are no bad seats in the house. Order tickets online here.

In her new graphic memoir Guts, Raina Telgemeier once again brings us a thoughtful, charming, and funny true story about growing up and gathering the courage to face—and conquer—her fears. You can learn more about Raina and her work on her website, goraina.com.
