Virtual Summer Camps from Transcendence Theatre Company
Transcendence Theatre Company, the amazing Sonoma-based organization that puts on the yearly Broadway Under the Stars series at Jack London State Park, is offering virtual online performing arts camps for kids and teens this summer. Camps include a Virtual Teen Instensive (ages 13–18, July 20–25) and a Virtual Kids' Camp for ages (ages 7–12, July 27–31).
Virtual Teen Intensive, July 20–25
Transcendence's Virtual Teen Intensive brings Broadway training to teens virtually. Learn directly from performers from Hamilton, Mean Girls, Moulin Rouge, and many more! During this week, students will explore theatre improv, musical theatre dance, acting through song, and learn a Broadway production number! Sign up today and bring the best of Broadway training to your home. On Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25, intensive artists will be have the opportunity to perform a solo song, dance, or poem at the pre-show solo cabaret concert that takes place prior to the streaming of Fantastical Family Night. The Virtual Teen Intensive has three different package options:
- Full Experience $350: Includes all five days of the intensive and one hour (or two 30-minute sessions) of private coaching for the student’s cabaret performance.
- Basic Package $300: Includes all five days of the intensive; no private coaching.
- Class Pass $75: Includes access to one class of your choosing; no private coaching.

Virtual Kids' Camp, July 27–31
Join Broadway professional teaching artists in a week of theater-filled training and explore your inner transcendence at Virtual Kids' Camp! Transcendence's curriculum is designed to give campers ages 7-12 years old the tools they need to create something bigger than themselves for greater social impact. Campers will explore theater and improv games, dance and movement, and create and perform an original 10-minute musical. In addition they'll get to perform a solo song, dance, poem, etc. at the solo concert on July 31. Learn more and register here.
Three different Virtual Kids' Camp sessions are available. Packages include:
- Kids Camp Full Experience $100: Includes all three days of Virtual Summer Camp and 30 minutes of private coaching for your camper’s solo performance.
- Basic Package $75: Includes all three days of Virtual Summer Camp; no private coaching.
- Class Pass $30: Includes access to one class of your choosing; no private coaching.
A limited number of half and full need-based scholarships are available. Fill out their scholarship request form to be considered.
