Fall has arrived and there is so much for families to do. If you're trying to find that perfect fall family activity in the Bay Area, look no further! We've put together a list of our favorite must-do events for Marin families with kids of all ages, all of which take place in Marin and the Bay Area!
- Pick apples and take a at Apple-A-Day Ratzlaff Ranch west of Sebastopol, open daily, closed Thursday and Saturday.
- See a family-friendly movie outdoors at the Lark Drive-In at the Village in Corte Madera, Saturdays through November 11.
- Experience a one-of-a-kind live air show over the Bay with the Blue Angels at San Francisco Fleet Week, Friday & Saturday, October 7 & 8
- Join Marinwood Recreation for an outdoor walk-through trick-or-treat and pumpkin patch, San Rafael, October 13, 5–6:30 pm.
- Experience the world's biggest bounce house in Sausalito's MLK Park, Friday–Sunday, October 13–15.
- Visit Sonoma County farms during Weekend Along Farm Trails, Saturday & Sunday, October 14 & 15.
- Meet local firefighters, station tours, fire hose squirt at the Central Marin Fire Department Open House, Corte Madera, October 14, 10 am–2 pm.
- Meet a the animals and experience life on the farm at Slide Ranch's Family Farm Days, Saturday, October 14 & 28, November 11
- Take a train ride to the pumpkin patch at the Western Railway Museum in Suisuin City, weekends October 14–29
- Novato Fire District's Annual Open House and pancake breakfast, Various stations in Novato, Sunday, October 15, breakfast 8 am, open house 10 am–2 pm.
- Set sail on the spooky seas at the Goblin Jamboree, Bay Area Discovery Museum, October 21–29.
- Dress in costume to Trunk or Treat and enjoy music and crafts at Mill Valley Community Center, Friday, October 27.
- Carve a pumpkin with rangers at Jeepers Jack O'Lanterns, Paradise Beach Park, Tiburon, Saturday, October 28, 10 am–noon,
- Bring your ghosts and goblins to the Not-So-Scary Halloween Magic Show, Novato City Hall, Saturday, October 28.
- Get lost in the corn mazes at Petaluma Pumpkin Patch or Santa Rosa Pumpkin Patch.
- Decorate a sugar skull at San Rafael's Dia de los Muertos celebration, Saturday, November 4.
- Work up an appetite for your Thanksgiving feast at the Marin Turkey Trot in Novato, Thursday, November 23.
