Marin Playgrounds: Marinwood Park in San Rafael
Located in the Marinwood area of northern San Rafael, Marinwood Park is a shady oasis that offers fun features for everyone in the family. Adjacent to the Marinwood Pool, the Marinwood Community Center, and the Marinwood fire station, it's a popular place for children's birthday parties and public events like Marinwood's summer outdoor concert series and the 4th of July pancake breakfast.
There's so much more to Marinwood Park than just a playground, too. Take a hike on one of the nearby trails, play tennis, cool off during public swim hours at the Marinwood Pool, or play games on the spacious and well maintained lawn area. The Marinwood community really takes pride in their parks and public spaces and it shows!
Park Features
Marinwood Park features a fenced tot lot and play area for older kids, both with climbing structures, slides, and swings. The park has two lawn areas with plenty of trees for shade. Picnic tables and BBQ grills are arranged around the playground area, and there are two group picnic areas that can be rented for parties.
Other features include hiking paths through the park and along adjacent Miller Creek and Church Hill, tennis courts, and of course the popular Marinwood Pool, which has a water slide and baby pool and is open daily for drop-in recreational swimming starting in April 2022.

If You Go
Marinwood Park is located at 775 Miller Creek Road. To get there, take Highway 101 to the Lucas Valley exit. Head west on Lucas Valley Road and turn right on Miller Creek Road. Parking is available in a lot at the Marinwood Community Center and along Miller Creek Road.
