Friday, April 25

  • Breakfast with Enzo! presents a weekly family folk music sing-along for ages 0–5 with two different sets of music at 10 and 11 am at the Presidio Dance Theatre. Enzo will perform with his banjo, accordion, musical saw, guitar, and countless other instruments for a morning of singing and dancing. The cost is $5 a person.   • Bring the family out to Spring Fling at Slide Ranch on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. The day will include crafts, music, organic cuisine, and farm activities The kids can milk the goats, shear the sheep, plant seedlings, and make some cheese and bread.   • Mad Hatter's Tea Party: Come one, come all and join Alice, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the Dormouse for a special Wonderland tea party, complete with tea sandwiches, beverages, and dessert. Falkirk’s beautiful Victorian setting is the perfect place for this spring tea party, which takes place on Saturday and Sunday. There will be two tea party sittings, noon and 3:00 pm. The cost is $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for children, which includes all the food you can eat. Reservations are required and Falkirk says that it always sells out, so reserve your spot ASAP!   • The Prescott Circus Theatre will be at the Bay Area Discovery Museum on Saturday from 11 am and 12:30 pm. This school-age cast of circus stars delights audiences of all ages with a colorful show, including juggling, acrobatics and balancing acts.   • Petaluma’s Butter & Eggs Days Parade takes place on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm with the parade beginning at noon. Marching bands, colorful floats, unique marching groups, and a special birthday helium balloon highlight this year’s 100-unit parade celebrating “Happy Birthday Petaluma” in honor of the City’s Sesquicentennial. A festival of food, fun, arts and crafts, and kids activities surrounds the parade route in the historic downtown.   • Novato Celebrates it's 3rd Annual Multicultural Festival on Saturday from noon to 4:00 pm at Miwok Park in Novato. Enjoy music, dance and martial arts. There will be ethnic foods for sale, student artwork displayed, and free interactive cultural and informational booths.
  • Novato Green & Clean Day is Saturday April 26th form 9:00 am-1:00pm, so come and help clean up litter, weeds and graffiti. Bring the family to participate by volunteering to clean up streets, parks, schools, trails, bike paths, creekbanks or open space. Materials are provided such as safety vests, bags and gloves.   • Hike the nature trail through Bothin Marsh in Sausalito with Ranger Linda Holm on Saturday from noon to 2 pm. Birds and wetland plants change with the tides and the seasons. Get familiar with the local residents and migratory species of this beautiful and biodiverse wetland community to the east of Richardson Bay. The trail is 2 miles (4 miles round trip).   • Bring your family to San Marin High School to participate in the second annual Cycling for Schools fundraiser bike ride and carnival from 10 am to 4 pm. This fun-filled day will include bike riding, carnival games, wellness information, a bike antigravity show, a performance by the very popular kid rock band Crunchy Frog, great food, and much more!   • The San Francisco Zoo is celebrating Dia del Niño, Day of the Child, on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. This family event will include traditional music, dancing and FREE crafts. Kids can ask keepers questions about the zoo's Latin American animals including armadillos, the prehensile-tailed porcupine, and the Amazon parrot, and watch lots of animals feast on special piñatas filled with their favorite treats.   • Family entertainer Enzo Garcia performs at the Mill Valley Golf Course Clubhouse every Sunday from 10 am to noon. Enzo invites you, your friends, family, and neighbors to join him for a morning of genuine, heartfelt, sing-along family fun. He'll bring his banjo, accordion, guitar, musical saw, and other surprises. All you need are clapping hands, singing voices and dancing feet.
