Delicious New Family Music from Orange Sherbet
Celebrate food, the seasons, healthy eating, and fun with Orange Sherbet's new full-length family CD Delicious. Due for release on May 15, 2012, Delicious serves up 17 tasty toe-tapping tunes that encourage families to eat, grow, prepare, and enjoy different foods.
Delicious is the perfect CD to listen to on the way to the grocery store or farmer's market, or while preparing a meal for the family. We've been listening to our review copy of Delicious quite a bit, and love the upbeat tunes on the CD, especially "Waffle Day", the title track "Delicious", and the "Garden Song/Inch by Inch".
The only drawback to Delicious is that you'll probably get hungry after listening to it!
Songs on Delicious are in turn jazzy, folksy, and funky, and will appeal to everyone in the family—kids and parents alike.
Local indie family favorite Orange Sherbet comprises Jill and Steve Pierce—who you may know from their Mary Anne Hall's Music for Children classes in Marin, San Francisco, and Palo Alto—and Tamsen Fynn. They'll celebrate the release of Delicious at Berkeley's Ashkenaz on Sunday, May 20, from 3 to 4:30 pm. Admission to the Ashkenaz (located at 1317 San Pablo Avenue) release party is $4 for kids and $6 for children.
Other upcoming Orange Sherbet appearances include the Berkeley Farmer's Market at noon on Saturday, June 2; Old Mill Park in Mill Valley from 11 am to noon on Sunday, August 5; and the Park Chalet's JamBand Family Festival on Sunday, September 23 at 3 pm.
