Transcendence's Broadway Holiday Shines in Sonoma!

This December, Transcendence Theatre Company returns to Sonoma with its amazing Broadway Holiday. We had a chance to experience the show at Hanna Center this weekend, and it was an incredible way for the whole family to get into the holiday spirit! 

Broadway Holiday is an intimate musical revue performed by six of Transcendence's amazing artists, accompanied by a live band. The six incredibly talented cast members, Belinda Allyn, Stephen Christopher Anothony, Alloria Frayser, David L. Murray, Jr., Devon Perry, and Michael Wordly, sang and danced their way through both beloved holiday songs both classic and contemporary. A seventh standout was band leader Zachary Kellogg, whose incredible piano playing was augmented by his singing and jazz flute skills.

The cast and band perform a wide variety of holiday songs celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, and the winter season, from familiar tunes like "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and "White Christmas" to Vince Guaraldi's jazzy music from A Charlie Brown Christmas and holiday-adjacent songs like "Let It Go" from Disney's Frozen. The audience is also invited to participate in a Christmas Carol sing-along, too!

It was truly amazing show that really started off our holiday season on high note. Transcendence never fails to wow us with their shows, and being able to experience performances by these talented Broadway stars right here in the North Bay is a really special thing. Broadway Holiday is definitely something you have to put on your holiday "must experience" list.

Remaining performances take place in the auditorium at Hanna Center in Sonoma Friday through Sunday December 8 through 10. Shows begin at 7:30 pm on Friday and 2 and 7:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday; premium and general reserved ticket holders can arrive 30 minutes prior to the show to enjoy a glass of wine, coffee, and hot chocolate, while gold ticket holders can enjoy the Gold Lounge starting 90 minutes before the show with wine, live music, and appetizers by Hopmonk Taverns.
