Build Your Own Bird Feeder

Meet at the snack bar in McNears Beach Park in San Rafael (201 Cantera Way). As spring draws near, help to welcome local songbirds to your backyard. Kids will learn about birds native to Marin, and with parents’ assistance will build and decorate a handsome bird feeder to take home! This event is ideal for all ages. We’ll provide all related supplies. No pets (except service animals) are allowed at this park. Rain does not cancel this event. Please reserve your spot in advance, as this event is limited to 10 participants. Park entrance is waived for participants. Take 2nd St east, which merges into 3rd St, and then turns into Point San Pedro Rd. Follow Point San Pedro Rd for 3.6 miles, turn right at Cantera Way, and follow to the large parking lot at the end.
