Join CuriOdyssey for our 60th Anniversary with a celebration of lift! Watch firing stomp rockets, flying discs, soaring falcons, floating bubbles, and all sorts of things ascend into the air.
During the day, view demonstrations of “lift” by the San Jose Spiders Ultimate Team, Lily Cai Chinese Dance Company, and Rebels Elite cheer team. See new exhibits, including a Pneumatic Ball Launcher, an exhibit that allows visitors to explore air pressure by launching a ping-pong ball high into the air, and our massive pinwheel exhibit that highlights the chaotic wind patterns present on The San Francisco Bay.
Witness the unveiling of a large-scale art installation of more than 100 weather vanes by artist Mark Brest van Kempen - an installation that will make visible the normally invisible currents and eddies of wind that surround us in our home on The Bay.
