Virtual Event
The Bay Area Science Festival
San Francisco, CA 94121

The Bay Area Science Festival, Northern California's largest free educational event, returns for its 10th anniversary season October 21–25, 2020! This year, due to COVID-19, the festival is going virtual, with over 125 incredible virtual STEM events for all ages.

While events like the North Bay Science Festival and Discovery Day at Oracle Park won't be taking place this year, you can still take part in virtual events like a robotics demonstration, an exploration of the Oakland Zoo, a walking tour of Stanford University's rocks and minerals, behind-the-scenes looks at UCSF's Maker Lab and UC Berkeley's formula race car lab, a talk about the search for alien life, and much more. This year's Festival also has a major focus on teen activities to boost interest in STEM careers, including an online coding Dojo, Bay Area Youth Climate Activism Panel, and Women in STEM forum.

The Bay Area Science Festival is produced by the Science & Health Education Partnership (SEP) at UCSF in collaboration with Bay Area universities, museums, cultural institutions, corporations, after-school groups, research labs, government agencies and more. Chevron is the presenting sponsor for the tenth consecutive year.

Sessions are either on-demand or scheduled for a particular date and time during the festival. For a complete schedule of Bay Area Science Festival events and activities, visit www.bayareasciencefestival2020.org/schedule.

Registration is now open, and you'll need to be registered to attend virtual events. Sign up online here. Registration is free!
