FREE Mindfulness-Based Parenting Workshop

This event is expired.
Join us for this FREE workshop in which we'll cultivate clarity, mindfulness, communication skills, and healthy boundaries. Parents of children of all ages welcome!
Part 1: Mindfulness-Based Parenting, led by Aaron Schiller
In this interactive workshop, parents will be introduced to mindfulness techniques which they can use to improve their child’s behavior. These techniques will help any family, but especially those in which there are daily activities which feel like a constant struggle. Join Aaron as he shares his four steps to creating and implementing a mindfulness-based behavior modification program for kids. Parents will identify both positive and negative behaviors of their children, identify patterns in these behaviors, and create a plan for how to improve what isn’t working. To learn more about Aaron, visit coachschiller.com.
Part 2: Empowering Kids to Have Healthy Relationships, led by Anya Manes
Building off of the work done in the first hour, this interactive workshop will give parents space and support as they reflect upon how to help their children learn to have healthy relationships. Anya will share active listening strategies and techniques for teaching children to set good boundaries and make thoughtful choices. These skills are an essential foundation for later discussions of media messages and sexual intimacy. To learn more about Anya, visit talkingaboutsex.com.
