"Imagining Friendship" Opens 4/12 at the YIA Gallery

The Walker Rezaian Creative HeArts exhibition, "Imagining Friendship," is back for its fifth year at the YIA Gallery in San Rafael. The show features wonderful self portraits from Kindergarteners and First Graders at Laurel Dell Elementary School. The work was created during a Youth in Arts' residency.
The opening reception will be held Friday, April 12, from 5-8 p.m. The event coincides with the 2nd Fridays Art Walk in San Rafael. The show runs through May 24.
The Walker Rezaian Creative HeArts Kindergarten Arts Program was created by Walker's family and Youth in Arts. In celebration of his life and love of art, the program provides for a visual arts residency for Kindergarten classes at selected schools, along with parent and teacher trainings, a show of student work and a community celebration.
The YIA Gallery is at 917 C St. in San Rafael and is open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
