The Marin History Museum Historical Film & Lecture Series Presents: The Power of Landscape To Inspire and Heal

This event is expired.

Marin Mind/Scapes is a 30-minute documentary film featuring Marin County artists who speak of the influence of art and nature on health and well-being. Several of the artists are recovering from a severe mental illness. All the artists, regardless of background, speak of how creative expression and Marin’s scenic vistas have affected their artwork and their sense of mental balance.

Featured artists include Marin residents Charm Dupree, Steve Emery, Byron Griffin, Homa Karimzad, Tom Killion, Kathleen Lipinski, Zenaida (ZeeZee) Mott, Tom Soltesz, Matt Tasley, and Sherrill Miller.

The film will be presented by its producers, oral historian/media artist Marilyn L. Geary and Laurie Thompson, Librarian of the Anne T. Kent California Room, Marin County Civic Center Library. For more information on the film, see www.marinmindscapes.com.

This project was made possible, in part, by a grant from the Cal Humanities (www.calhum.org).
